Our First-Ever Landing Page Templates!
With one of Performance Marketing’s OKRs being lead generation for our enterprise products, we needed and agile way for marketing to create content, without additional engineering lift. So I put a brief to develop flexible landing page templates in Pardot, our marketing automation system. I included plenty of examples, based on research, as well as my own wireframe (because I like drawing in Balsamiq!)
At The Start…
I used Places API as a placeholder product for my wireframe. At the time, I was brainstorming ways to use landing pages to educate our developer audience about our API and SDK, thinking about a template that could hold information on our product one-sheets, as well as collect emails for an engagement program.
Priorities shifted to the new TV Attribution product launch, which I knew we’d need landing pages for. I decided it would make for a more compelling brief, bringing a sense of urgency to the design team to request designs for a new product launch. So, you’ll see TV Attribution used in the designs moving forward.
I had 2 main inspiration pieces to accompany my wireframe in the design brief.
Our brilliant designer, Feibi, took this from wireframe and instructions to beautiful mockups. Before I handed off to the third-party dev team, overseas, I wrote clear UX instructions to ensure the templates would function the way we needed them to.
